Call for Abstracts.
The Chilean Society of Modern Philosophy invites submissions of abstracts for the eleventh edition of the
Jornadas de Filosofía Moderna
September 6-7, 2023
To be held at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado, in Santiago, Chile.
We invite established scholars, junior scholars, and students to send an anonymized abstract of about 500-600 words (in .pdf format) on any topic in modern philosophy (roughly from late Renaissance to Hegel) to jornadasmoderna@gmail.com. Papers dealing with topics or authors outside the modern period but related to modern philosophy (such as the reception of modern ideas in later authors or their influence on contemporary debates) are also welcome.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1st July 2023. Applicants who have not been contacted by 1st August should consider their submission declined. Complete papers should aim at a reading time of 20-30 minutes. Please, indicate your name, university affiliation (if applicable) and the title of your paper in the body of your email message.
The official language of the conference will be Spanish, but papers in English, French and German will also be accepted.
